Our Training Methods
There are many methods used in the world of dog training. We are strong believers in training dogs and puppies through positive reinforcement. We work to build the dogs confidence and willingness to work for people through the use of a clicker to mark the good behavior followed by a reward of treats, toys, and/or praise.
We will NEVER use force, fear, or shock methods to control your dog. All modern dog behavioral studies show that dogs learn best through positive training methods. Which is awesome, because who really wants their best friend to be afraid of them?
The more consistent we are as humans, the faster our dogs will learn from us because it's easier for them to understand us. We think clickers are the most consistent and accurate way to mark good behaviors. Some people like to use words like, "Yes" or "Good Boy." We can work with words are the marker for behaviors. However, most people talk in different tones, which causes inconsistencies for marking the behavior. Clickers are always the same consistent sound and are our recommended marker for behaviors.
Overall, we just want to help people build lifelong friendships with their furry friends that are healthy, sustainable, and loving. Is there anything better than that?
